The council has been experimenting with putting wild flower in some city parks, including Milton, Kingston and Stamshaw. The areas planted last year have become overrun with weeds and the flowers have struggled to return, but in the newly planted areas, an annual mix has been used and the effect has been stunning. These plants are now dying back, but the plan is to repeat the exercise again next year.
